Videos/Books in Spanish, for a beginner? I am learning Spanish, and wanting to listen to more and read more, to see how much I can understand. I have a bunch of books for learning grammar, verb conjugation, etc., as well as audio and computer courses, but I thought it might be valuable to also watch some movies in Spanish, or try reading books... but I don't want to jump into anything too complicated, too soon. (Maybe children's books or shows, with simpler vocabulary?) How come it's so difficult for me? I've been trying to learn filipino/tagalog. When I was younger, I was too stubborn to try to learn it. Now, I'm in my pre-teen years and trying to learn it. My family speaks the language, I watch filipino movies with them, I've been to the Philippines, I've even tried books and online lessons to teach me. Yet, no matter how much time I spend or how much of my free-time I take to learn the language, the words never stick. I'd learn a word or a phrase, recite it a million times, use it to myself, etc. Then the next day when my parents ask what the word is, I can't seem to think of it. Same problem with Spanish, which I must learn for school. I've been learning for three years and I can barely recite a few words and a few phrases. Can someone explain why it's so hard for me or give me tips to help me learn better?

They are channg it this year so we'll actually have a spanish teacher to actually teach us and speak and help us, so maybe that'll go a bit better but im not sure soo.. ya. should i learn jjapanee, french or russian. which would be easier? in the sense of speaking not so much writing, id love to learn writing in each language and possibly learning tem all later on but for now im ganna be talking more than writing wont i, so.. or ive heard that its better to learn in a sorten order so if u could tell me that itd be g reat. so which language should i learn Japaese Russian or French???? Mr. %$&$# comes out and watches us. if we talk he gives us detention. i sometimes wish he was dead. 5.)
