I would like to know if they also have spanish educational films because I would like my grandchildren to learn spanish.

Why do so many region 1 dvd movies that were filmed in English contain French audio dubbing but not Spanish? Exactly lol--yes I know Canada has its number of French speakers, but that's less than 10 million, as opposed to the United States, which has over 45 million people who speak Spanish at home...so why is hollywood biased towards French? (No offense but I like Spanish dubbing better, if I get bored of watching a movie in English I can watch it in a completely different manner, I'm spanish fluent, lol) Every time that I turn on a dvd to check out the dubbing, 50% of the time it is French or English only, 15% there is none but English, another 15% it is English, Spanish or French, another 15% it's in English or Spanish, and the rest of the time it's a different language all together. Not that I'm ticked off about it or anything, but I'm just curious, why is french so favored?? Wouldn't this be a marketing flaw?

What is your opinion on the Spanish translations/voiceovers for kids movies? I am talking about movies that are originally made in english, like Disney movies. Most of these come with a spanish language track on the DVD. Do you think that they sound normal when they talk to each other,or a little weird? I realize that they cannot put a lot of "slang" terms,because the slang is different depending on which country one comes from(ie.Spain,Mexico,Cuba,Chile,etc.). If someone was learning Spanish, would you recommend using these movies as a learning tool?I was thinking that maybe to some people,the dialogue may sound peculiar,but perhaps not to other people. My big screen is picking up Spanish on some channels & blocking the sound on others? All you hear is static. We have cable on both tv's, but the big screen is giving off the signal. It has the guide plus. We can watch movies thru the DVD with no problem. The cable line is directly in the back, it was doing fine til now. I still get cable but the sound is terrible and the pictures are a little staticky. What can do? Please help. ps- we also try to reset the tv to for audio.

Is there any site that offers the original Matrix movie in Spanish audio and/or subtitles on DVD format? I want to get(borrow/own) the first Matrix movie in Spanish audio. Where can I get such a copy? Years ago, there was someone on Youtube who had what I guess was a Spanish dubbed version in separated parts, which was all Spanish audio. What do you think about the language options on movies? Is it bad business sense, or is Hollywood trying to use their influence to try to get people to learn English? Many US movies are made in California, and 40% of California is Mexican descent, but most of the new movies released on DVD in the past few years have English and French language options only. (very few even have Spanish subtitles) My GF's sister is here from Peru, and speaks little English. We could not find a new release that had Spanish as a language option. Are these DVD's legal......10 POINTS? I know someone who goes to Lima, Peru several times a year. He always brings back DVD movies that haven't been released here in the United States yet. He says that when a new movie premieres in theaters there it is released on DVD the same day. Apparently you can buy any new in the theater movie in shops there. He keeps insisting they're legal copies. But the box covers always have bogus info, special features never work and you can't change language from spanish to english except on a computer even though there is a language option. Is this true? Or are they counterfeit copies. He says you can walk in any store and buy any newly released movie

my samsung dvd/surround sound system will not produce sound for english dialogue? every time i put in a dvd, for some parts of the movie the english dialogue is not producing sound. it produces it for french and spanish dialogue, and the background noise is still produced. does anybody know what is wrong with it and how to fix it? for the most part it works, but usually near the beginning or the end of the dvd is when it stops working
