Does foreign (eg Spanish) music annoy you? I only ask this question becuase I am a spanish girl who lives in a different country ( in the middle east). There are not many spanish speaking people who live here. Most of my friends are british, some american and some arabic. They say that it is cool that I am spanish... and im like... wow thankyou. However they joke and make fun of how I mostly only listen to spanish music... they think its all flamenco or ... juanes - tengo la camisa negra - sort of thing. And when I even offer to play them good spanish music... they just get very annoyed. They just dont give it a chance. NO i donnot intend to convert them all into spanish music lovers... but in a way it upsets me how they think its cheesy music... they don't anything about it. They THINK i listen to things like La Bamba... and don't realise how normal and cool spanish music is. Bands like pereza, el canto del loco, melendi, la quinta estacion :D Do you think there is a reason i don't know about why they don't even want to hear it? realy, people who think spanish music is all hyperactive and LALLAA. recommended artists? i've been searching the net for forums, websites, etc... trying to find bands or singers that i will like. however, for months, i just cant find any new bands or singers that take to my fancy. usually i check for similar artist to those i like..then i go into the genre... but when i check the artists out.. i just give up after listening to several boring stuff. i would like to share with you peeps some of the artists that i really like, and hopefully someone can introduce me to some nice bands/singers. (no particular order) these are the ones i really love: the cribs(euro), the sounds(euro), bloc party(euro), shiny toy guns (usa), superbus (france), el canto del loco (spain), those i like: the veronicas. la oreja de van gogh(spain). le ann rhimes, abit of ricky martin(lol). yeah... those are some. i dislike rap/metal/pop(some). please do not recommend any by black singers. NOW... i'm not being racist... its just that i dont like that kind of music, i find it boring. my frens keep introducing me to those kind. =S i like songs that really catch my heart. so yeah... thanks alot everyone!=)
