4. Not really inde rock but I heard a god song by "Kinky" when I was in Peru.

Strangely, two of the greatest latin rock bands made a brief comeback this year First, the most influential band in Latin America (they didnt have that much impact in Spain) is Soda Stereo, who, after a 10 year break played 21 concerts in a brief comeback tour. You should listen to their MTV Unplugged recording to get an idea (youtube has a few videos. Then, Los Héroes del Silencio, a band with a heavier sound that had big success in Europe and Mexico & Central America, though never a big hit in South America. I havent heard much from El Canto del Loco, but they remind me more of pop-rock. Currently the newer bands are just cloning the Blink182 and MCR sound, just like Panda, Allison and all that crap that is around. There are a few electro-pop bands that you may like, such as Belanova and Moenia. Other good bands around are Zoe, Molotov, Aterciopelados, La Barranca (hardly mainstream)
