recommended artists?

i've been searching the net for forums, websites, etc... trying to find bands or singers that i will like. however, for months, i just cant find any new bands or singers that take to my fancy. usually i check for similar artist to those i like..then i go into the genre... but when i check the artists out.. i just give up after listening to several boring stuff. i would like to share with you peeps some of the artists that i really like, and hopefully someone can introduce me to some nice bands/singers. (no particular order) these are the ones i really love: the cribs(euro), the sounds(euro), bloc party(euro), shiny toy guns (usa), superbus (france), el canto del loco (spain), those i like: the veronicas. la oreja de van gogh(spain). le ann rhimes, abit of ricky martin(lol). yeah... those are some. i dislike rap/metal/pop(some). please do not recommend any by black singers. NOW... i'm not being racist... its just that i dont like that kind of music, i find it boring. my frens keep introducing me to those kind. =S i like songs that really catch my heart. so yeah... thanks alot everyone!=)

1. I love Guster, I'd definitely suggest checking them out. The Hush Sound is also good - but when you check them out, look at their new album ("Goodbye Blues") if you prefer female singing voices over male. Steel Train is interesting. The lead singer's voice takes some getting used to, though. Have you heard of The Wombats? It seems like something you'd listen to, judging from the list of bands you have... I know you're trying to branch out your musical tastes a bit, but if you haven't heard of them, check them out. Hope I helped a bit! `Olivia
