- I put the verb in parentheses: 1(Éramos) jóvenes cuando salió"El Libro de la Selva" . 2Ella (era) una gran fan de Antonio Banderas 3Mi hermano (iba) (estaba yendo) a la tienda de discos (dvd) 4Dos actores españoles (eran)(fueron) embajadores de la UNICEF 1. éramos = era - was mos-represents "we" so it means we were. 2.era = was --it's just simple past 3. Use "iba" if you mean he went before but not anymore. Use "estaba yendo" if you mean the action was still happening during the time something else was happening, like "El estaba yendo a la tienda CUANDO perdió su dinero" (He was going to the store WHEN he lost his money) 4. Use "Eran" if the action happened for a while, then stopped happening. Use "Fueron" if the action happened once, at a short time, and is no longer happening. Both of these mean "were", but I think fueron is better. Ser and Ir can be confusing, because in the past form, both use "Fui" so just look at your context: Yo fui muy bonita de joven. (ser) Yo fui al cine ayer. (ir) I was very pretty when young. I went to the movies yesterday. Hope it helped!
